Terms of Service
01What Sigma is — and what it is not
Sigma is a subscription web terminal that publishes educational and informational software, data, and research: historical, backtested "discount / premium" market states across roughly 768 assets, portfolio and swing backtest builders, a research library, and a subscriber API. It shows you what a fixed, mechanical ruleset would have done in the past and what it reads today.
- Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing on this site, in the Discord, over the API, or in any session is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
- No advisory relationship. Subscribing does not make the operator your investment adviser, fiduciary, broker, or portfolio manager. The operator is not a licensed or registered investment adviser.
- Nothing is personalized. Every output is generated by the same mechanical rules for every subscriber. Sigma knows nothing about your finances, goals, or risk tolerance, and its outputs do not take them into account.
- The 1-on-1 session is education only. The paid session (Section 4) teaches you how the product and its research work. It is general education — it is not a personalized recommendation, a portfolio review, or advice, even if your own holdings come up in conversation.
- You decide. Any investment decision you make — including one informed by Sigma — is yours alone. If you need advice for your situation, hire a licensed professional.
02Hypothetical & backtested figures
Figures across the service are hypothetical and backtested — not a live track record. Backtested performance is computed by applying today's rules to past data; it does not represent trades that were actually placed, and it has known limitations (it cannot fully account for liquidity, slippage, fees, or the discipline required to follow a rule in real time). Past performance does not guarantee future results. All investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal; crypto assets are highly volatile. Where a page shows a live reading, that reading is a description of current data under fixed rules — not a prediction.
03Your account
- You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract.
- Your subscription is identified by your email address. Keep it current — it is how we reach you about billing, changes to these terms, and service notices.
- One subscription = one person. See Section 6.
04Subscriptions, trials & billing
- Inner Circle — $199 / month. Includes the full web terminal, the members-only Discord, and a personal API key. Billed monthly, in advance, through Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never touch Sigma's servers.
- 7-day free trial. New subscriptions start with a 7-day trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, the first monthly charge runs automatically when the trial ends. We email you a reminder before your trial ends so the first charge is never a surprise.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Cancel anytime; see Section 5 for exactly what happens when you do.
- 1-on-1 education session — $499 / hour. Booked and billed separately. Sessions are recorded and you receive written notes afterward. Education only, per Section 1.
- Price changes. If the monthly price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you. If you don't want the new price, cancel before your next renewal.
- Taxes. Prices don't include any sales or similar taxes that may apply to you.
This section is the policy most subscribers will actually look for, so here it is in one place, in plain words.
- Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until then. No cancellation fees, no questions, no retention hoops.
- During the trial: free. Cancel any time in the 7-day trial and you are never charged.
- After a billing period starts: no prorated refunds. Once a monthly charge has run, that month is paid for and is not refunded pro-rata when you cancel mid-month — you simply keep access through the period you paid for.
- Billing mistakes are always fixed. Duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, or other billing errors are refunded in full — email support.
- Everything else: case by case. If something went genuinely wrong, email americanacrypto@gmail.com and a human will look at it. We'd rather refund a bad month than keep an unhappy subscriber's money.
- 1-on-1 sessions. Reschedule free with at least 24 hours notice. A delivered session (held, recorded, notes sent) is not refundable.
06Acceptable use
- One seat. Your login, your Discord access, and your API key are for you personally. No sharing accounts, reselling seats, or pooling a subscription across a group or firm.
- No scraping or bulk extraction. Don't crawl, scrape, or systematically download the site or API beyond normal personal use.
- No redistribution. Don't republish, resell, rebroadcast, or feed Sigma's data, states, signal outputs, or research to third parties, other products, or public channels. Screenshots for private personal use are fine; running a service on our outputs is not.
- No reverse engineering. Don't attempt to extract, reconstruct, or derive the signal's construction or parameters.
- API limits. Keys are rate-limited (currently 60 requests/minute, 2,000/day). Keys are personal, non-transferable, and revocable: sharing a key publicly or abusing the API gets it revoked. We store only a hash of your key — lost keys are reissued, not recovered.
- Discord. The members-only Discord runs under these terms plus Discord's own terms; be a decent human or lose access.
- No unlawful use, no probing or disrupting the service, no misrepresenting Sigma's outputs as your own or as advice to others.
07Intellectual property
The service — software, design, research content, data compilations, and signal outputs — belongs to the operator. Your subscription buys a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your own information and education while you're a subscriber. It does not transfer any ownership, and it ends when your subscription does. If you send feedback or ideas, we can use them without obligation.
08Availability, data & changes to the service
- No uptime guarantee. Sigma is run by a small operation. We work to keep it up, but the service is provided without any availability commitment and may go down for maintenance or otherwise.
- Data comes from third-party providers and may contain errors, gaps, or delays. Readings can differ slightly from other data vendors' feeds. Do not treat any figure as exchange-grade market data.
- Features evolve. We may add, change, or remove features, coverage, or endpoints. If we materially reduce what your tier includes, we'll tell you by email.
09No warranty · limitation of liability
In plain words first: if you lose money on an investment, that loss is yours. You are paying for research and software, not for outcomes, and no figure on this service is a promise about the future.
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
- To the maximum extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for trading or investment losses, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the service, its data, its outputs, or your reliance on any of them — even if advised of the possibility.
- To the maximum extent the law allows, the operator's total liability for all claims combined is capped at the amount you paid Sigma in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions or caps; where that's the case, these apply to the fullest extent permitted.
10Termination
You can end your subscription anytime (Section 5). We can suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms — account sharing, scraping, redistribution, key abuse, chargeback fraud, or unlawful use — without refund of the current period. We can also discontinue the service entirely; if we do, we'll refund any unused portion of prepaid time. Sections 7 and 9 survive termination.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the new terms; if you don't, cancel before they take effect.
12Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [OPERATOR'S HOME STATE — one word from the owner completes this], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before any formal claim, both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by email first. These terms deliberately contain no arbitration clause or class-action waiver.
